Keely has been an artist for as long as she can remember.
Raised in an environment that nurtured creativity, curiosity, intelligence, humor, and kindness, she found her artistic voice early on. Her diverse heritage— Filipino, English, Scandinavian, Sicilian, and Native American (unaffiliated)— deeply influences her work and is celebrated through her creative venture, Eagle Eye America LLC.
At just five years old, Keely began hand-sewing alongside her mother, who passed down many of the artistic skills that continue to shape her practice today. In first grade, with the encouragement of her supportive teacher Ms. Benson, Keely was accepted into the youth program at the Pacific Northwest College of Art. There, she explored a wide range of media, setting the foundation for a lifelong journey in the arts.
Upon entering high school, Keely was certain she wanted to become a fashion designer. She began designing, patterning, and sewing prom dresses for herself and her friends, honing her skills early on. After graduating, she pursued formal training in the fashion industry, learning essential techniques such as flat patterning, draping, textile selection, production processes, and cost analysis. These skills complemented her local modeling career in her home state of Oregon. In 2013, she debuted her first fashion show, which featured five menswear, and five womenswear looks.
During her schooling she was also employed at a locally owned marine canvas manufacturing business where she was able to produce upholstery, and weather covers for sailboats and yachts. There, she improved her skills exponentially in industrial sewing and weather resistant components. Keely then started her first business, Backdoor Customs, where she created custom motorcycle seats, specifically for shows through her friend, Kenny Bobcat of Motogalore.
These paths unknowingly shaped her new business, Eagle Eye America LLC. Her brand offers crafts that give respect to her love of history and "dying" art forms. Using materials like leather, gemstones, and sterling silver ensure lasting quality. She strives to make a product that is the antithesis of "fast fashion" and "mass production".
When she moved to Idaho, it took her love of fine detail in tying flies to push her up river in her camper, where she currently resides with her dog, Grit. She is an avid fly fisherman and teaches casting classes locally. Keely is also an EMT and firefighter at her local volunteer fire department.
She enjoys traveling most, as it has deeply impacted her desire to give back. "It is through the connectedness of meeting people on the other side of the planet that made me realize our worlds are a lot more alike than different. We are all on this beautifully challenging existence of life— dream big, and never EVER give up!"
She feels blessed to be born in the USA where opportunity and freedom are available to her. To honor those who have impacted her and/or her country, she donates a portion of net profits to different groups in need, such as: her volunteer fire department, Shoshone Pet Rescue, Friends of the River Coalition, Coeur d'Alene tribe youth projects, and her Nepali friend Krishma, who cares for ten orphans and feeds stray dogs every morning in her neighborhood in Kathmandu.
Keely cannot express enough gratitude for the support of her family, friends, and neighbors who believe in her even when starting this new chapter can be absolutely terrifying. But— it has been a lifetime in the making!
